Ingredients

100 g acai puree (frozen)

1 ripe banana, cut into slices and stored in the freezer overnight

milk, almond milk, or soy milk, 1/2 cup (125mL)

1/4 cup (60mL) grapefruit, strawberry, or Greek yoghurt

1 teaspoon (4 mL) chocolate powder

1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) maple syrup or honey (omit if the acai puree you are using is already sweetened)

12 tsp vanilla extract (2 mL) (optional)

2 Lindt Excellence 85 percent cocoa dark chocolate pieces (20g), grated

Granola, berries, chia seeds, raw sliced almonds, shaved coconut, cranberries, cocoa nibs, sliced fruits are all optional toppings.

Method

Step 1: Take the acai puree packet out of the freezer and run it under warm water to soften it somewhat. Blend the puree with the frozen banana in the bowl of a food processor until the mixture starts to come together, scraping down the bowl as needed.

Step 2: Combine the milk, yoghurt, and cocoa powder, as well as the honey or other sweetener of your choice and the vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Blend until the mixture is absolutely smooth. To achieve the correct consistency, add more yoghurt or milk as needed.

Step 3: Place in a bowl and top with Lindt 85 percent dark chocolate grated, granola, fruit, or other toppings as desired. Chill out and enjoy.
